U.L. approved, single phase motor with 36-tooth brass gear. 110 volt, 60 cycles. This motor is a replacement for the motor used in the Golden Helm, Golden Minute and Golden View clocks produced by Jefferson Electric. These motors run hotter and noisier.
If your old motor has a groove on the brass drive gear, the problem usually indicates the glass and gear ring are binding in the dial frame. This must be corrected prior to installation of a new motor or the problem will persist. New returned motors with a groove on the brass drive gear cannot be accepted for exchange.
